Saturday Night and Sunday Morning 1960
   of Karel Reitz
Arthur, a young worker from Nottingham, has really only one true passion: women. One of his mistresses was the wife of his friend, but when she becomes pregnant Arthur induces an abortion. It will be a girl with good principles, Doreen, to force him to put some order in their love life. The onset of Karel Reisz is also one of the film-guide of English Free Cinema, which foretells the founding characters: complete freedom of expression and merciless look at the contradictions of a changing society. Screenplay by Alan Sillitoe, and embellished by black and white by Freddie Francis and a great Albert Finney.
